Document Formatting How-to

So a paragraph in your document keeps skipping to the next page.  It feels like Word is doing its own thing, trying to keep paragraphs together.  But this isn’t what you want to happen!  Well, keep reading because I’m going to expose the setting that’s causing this to occur.  And I’ll also take you through how to stop Word from moving a paragraph to the next page.

The best way to find hidden formatting in Word is to show formatting marks.  Because when you show formatting marks in Word, you can see exactly what’s going on in your document.  You’re then in a better position to make formatting changes.  And less likely to affect any underlying formatting.

Word’s Format Painter helps you copy formatting from one part of your document to another.  It’s generally used to copy text formatting.  But you can also use it to copy formatting of other elements.
